Systech Announces 90-Day Rapid Compliance Program for Pharmaceutical Companies

Enables U.S. Pharmaceutical Companies that Distribute Prescription Drugs Within the U.S. to Meet November 2017 DSCSA Deadline

PRINCETON, NJ – (January 26, 2017) – Systech International, a global technology solutions leader and innovator in serialization for the pharmaceutical industry, is pleased to announce a rapid compliance program called “Serialized by November” for those companies racing to comply with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) deadline. By November 27, 2017, the DSCSA requires manufacturers that distribute prescription drugs within the United States to mark packages with a product identifier, serial number, lot number, and expiration date—basically, adopt and deploy a serialization solution. While most of the largest global manufacturers are underway with their compliance efforts, many of the mid-tier pharmaceutical manufacturers, contract manufacturers, virtual pharmaceutical companies, and other firms that ship prescription drug components into the U.S. are struggling to meet this year’s deadline.

With the Systech Serialized by November program, customers can dramatically reduce the timeframe to DSCSA compliance by implementing the company’s proven, documented serialization workflows. Systech’s serialization solutions currently ensure DSCSA compliance and are already deployed on nearly 1,600 packaging lines, which is 65% more lines than its next largest competitor.

The program will allow customers to meet the minimum regulatory requirements by the November deadline, as well as enable expanded functionality at a later date—without having to change platforms or purchase additional software or licenses. Unlike competitive solutions, Systech’s mission-critical serialization software minimizes downtime on a packaging line, with customers enjoying multi-language, 24/7 global support for their packaging and production activity. Ongoing maintenance ensures continuing compliance and access to future solution upgrades and enhanced functionality.

According to Greg Innes, Vice President of Global Services, “We’re leveraging our proven services methodology and years of experience to deploy projects using an accelerated approach. We have OEM packaging machine partners that are serialization-ready for deployment today. And because we are hardware-agnostic, we can deliver and deploy a serialization solution ahead of the competition.”

“We’ve won several unexpected major serialization deployments from multi-national pharmaceutical firms, CMOs and CPOs due to failed implementations not meeting the original timelines. Pharmaceutical companies don’t have the luxury of time in 2017 – they must comply or face real consequences. Our customers know they can put their trust in us for their compliance needs,” states Bruce Bleiman, Senior Vice President of Global Sales.
