Blockchain and Supply Chain Safety in 2019

Blockchain technology witnessed an explosive increase in popularity last year in the food industry due to massive, country-wide recalls causing retailers to implement it into their supply chain security processes. However, barcodes and QR codes are easily duplicated which potentially jeopardizes the integrity of the data within that blockchain. This means there’s still work to be done to truly realize the potential of blockchain.
